At Dudhsagar falls in Goa, there’s a signpost with a list of victims. Sounds scary but I saw boys still swimming. At the base of Jog falls, I saw none swimming. It looked pretty damn scary especially to us non-swimmers. And be warned it is quite a trek down the base and back.
In 2009, I went on a trip to Jog Falls – the second highest plunge waterfall in India. Note – You can’t stand the falls the whole day. So we took a taxi to Hanovar and went to the beach. We even had a bath at centuries old looking public bath – imagine ages old civilization.
On our return journey we took the very front seat in the bus – KSRTC Rajahamsa. It was mistake. Way too much engine vibration was a great discomfort. Note this too if you are traveling by Rajahamsa.
