I would like to thank my hosts

Pu Malsawma and Pi Lalparmawii at Vawmkbuk, for the comfortable bed, hospitality and courtesy. When I woke up early morning, Pu Malsawma was already at work. They seem very hard working and successful as well. They have a gigantic building under construction and their kids are attending college in Shillong.

After trekking to the peak of Phawngpui, we climbed down to Vawmbuk village. My guide suggested (and I am very glad he did) to stay at their house, they being related, instead of the tourist lodge.

When I told my fellow passengers I will be staying at Pu Riliana’s at Darzo, they said you are going to the house of the wealthy man in Darzo. OmOmi (Bangalore) arranged for my stay at their house. Pi Thangpuii being OmOmi’s aunt. I want to thank them and OmOmi for the comfortable stay at Darzo.

Pu Mazuia and family at Phura, especially their daughter Duati. For the very comfortably stay and arranging for my stay and transport to Palak Lake. Though, I think Pu Mazuia kinda took me for a looser when I refused their offering of the Bible before going to Church:)

Lailai, my host at Lomasu

S. Laitha aka Lailai at Lomasu (Longmasu) for his hospitality, friendship and assistance in arranging boat transport to Tuidang and Saphaw. Pu C Lyhmo, the man of the house who was away at Shillong attending to his sick son and his wife for the stay and hospitality.

I was immensely impressed at the neatness of their house in a place so remote. Here’s a picture of their very neat living room.

I can never thank them enough. This post is the least I can do.
